A discrete, yet stylish conceptual speaker that aims to fill a room with sound using resonating glass. The glass cone shape amplifies and projects the sound into the room, whilst a bass speaker below handles the low end of the audio.
Speaker designs predominantly rely on metal, wood or plastic to reproduce audio in the home environment. Despite being able to faithfully reproduce audio using resonance, glass is a material still in its infancy in speaker design. But with its inclusion, can infuse a different kind of presence to an object; an aura if you will.
Many thanks to Yanko Design, Crunchgear, Yahoo, Engadget HD and many other sites for featuring my concept design
